Many thanks to Grandma’s Goulash for hosting Succinctly Yours, a meme in which a picture is offered to inspire a story of 140 words or 140 characters. The bonus word this week is “zeal.” Mine has 134 characters. Happy Valentine's Day!
Hoping to be chosen as next season’s star of “The Bachelor,” Cuddles tried to strike a nonchalant pose for the headshot. It was his outfit that gave away his zeal.
Isabel: A
girl like me is why a guy like you comes to a place like this.

That pooch seems more genuine than some of the "bachelors" I've seen on that show. (And the ears are incredible.)
ReplyDeleteYes, Sioux, I suspect he isn't as much of a dog as the usual ones.
ReplyDeleteThe pooch has the same yearning look in his eyes as one of your senior admirerers; don't you think?
ReplyDeleteLol...but he's not quite as hairy....
DeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteYup, that's my kinda bachelor!! YAM xx
Quite possibly mine, too, YAM!
DeleteIn regards to Linda's comment...
ReplyDeleteHe also has the same amount of ear hair as your beau...
And similar ear size.
DeleteWell, I don't know your "beau," but I was just about to say that little doggie has almost as much hair sprouting from his ears as an elderly gentleman.
ReplyDeleteSee? You do know him.
DeleteThose ears! lol I don't watch The Bachelor, but my guess is that this little guy is probably a whole lot sweeter than the real contestants.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Lisa!
DeleteYes, wearing one's heart on one's sleeve, er, neck, does not translate to studly bachelor guy, er, dog.
ReplyDeleteHee hee! Thanks for stopping by, Pat!
DeleteSuch a sweet little dog, isn't it? I love your take.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Judy!
Delete"Girls like you," "Guys like you." That sounds kinky, Tammy.
ReplyDeleteNevertheless, I believe she has a valid, business like, purpose for being there.
She looks sooo innocent. This is probably her first, and hopefully last visit there.
..
Thanks for making it clear that adding my microfiction as a caption was a bad idea because it was too small to read. No wonder you thought my quote from "The Office" was my entry! I hope it's a little clearer now. Thank you for stopping by, Jim!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tammy ~~ Cuddles does have a problem giving a nonchalant pose.
DeleteIt is the look that Adi, RIP my precious beagle dog, would give saying "are you
going to eat all of that without offering me a bite?"
..
Looks like the show has gone to the dogs
ReplyDelete:-D And thank heavens!
DeleteNow that's a reality show I would watch! Great job, Tammy, and an adorable subject.

Thanks, Pat. I thought the same thing - that I would be more likely to watch a show about canine bachelors! Isn't he darling?
