~To the Ends of the Earth~
“Mack” Maconis and his wife Betsy spent the entire 42 years of their marriage planning a trip around the world. On the evening of Mack’s retirement party, just as all that they’d worked for was finally falling into place, Betsy unexpectedly died. The world that Mack had formerly yearned to see now seemed to crumble. How would he go on?But odd coincidences kept happening. Old love letters turned up. Tickets appeared where they shouldn’t be. And finally, a poem Betsy wrote years ago convinced Mack that she somehow still had plans for him to follow their dream and take the trip, anyway.
This moving epic novel follows Mack through the stages of grief and self-discovery as he takes a journey that is as spiritual as it is literal. What he ultimately discovers will make you glad you went along.
Coincidences are God’s way of remaining anonymous. ~Albert Einstein
Dang, now I want to go buy this book. Are you finished yet? I love the quote too :)

THIS I would definitely buy! Relationships are far more appealing than horror and whodunnits.
ReplyDeleteOh, my. I teared up just reading the blurb, and I'm not kidding. Being happy married for 30+ and looking forward to happy retirement years I feel for Mack, and how emotionally wrenching losing his wife would be. Adding the "mysteries" that appear to be Betsy acting as a guiding angel is a wonderful hook. This is a book I would read, absolutely. Wonderful blurb.
ReplyDeleteO.k., once again, you seriously have my attention with your blurb. It's just not fair! We can never know what happened to Mac!
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh! Wow. This is a real book ... can't wait until you get it published!

I really like this one. You took it in a different way than I thought it would go and I was really touched. The quote at the end is the perfect cherry on top.
ReplyDeleteThis was my favorite of all the blurbs this week! What a story!
ReplyDeleteBTW-Write it!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely blurb, so touching. I'd buy the book! Thanks for reading the Quakebook post!

This reminded me of the film 'Up'. Poor Mack - I hope he finds comfort and peace.
ReplyDeleteAfter that tantalizing blurb, you better get busy and write the book!

Lovely and emotional too! I would definitely pick up this book to follow Mack on his journey. I liked the way "things" just kept turning up - wouldn't it be neat if life were like that? LOL!
ReplyDeleteI didn't have time (sigh!) to do BBF this week, but I wrestled procrastination down in a knock-down, drag-out fight and emerged victorious. I now have one for this next week ready and waiting in the wings.
ReplyDeleteYour blurb focused on the lone man, which I initially was going to do as well. Your story idea was marvelous. I think it would appeal to a great many people who are dealing with their own grief.
A beautiful blurb that is sure to make me want to share Mark's journey. Stunning!
ReplyDeleteTammy, you and Nicholas Sparks could be competing in print and on the big screen. Write this story. I love it!
ReplyDeleteHow touching - I want to follow the journey!
